In my work, I sometimes use four general scales to evaluate how strong you are in your sessions. In a successful session, the numbers which are less than acceptable (see below for a definition of "acceptable") at the beginning will be acceptable before the end. The names of the four criteria are Healing Rate, Stability, Power and Freedom. Healing Rate reflects the rate of change of health. The zero-percent point corresponds to a situation where no strengthening is happening. Healing Rate is zero often in our lives, when we choose to direct our energy to other tasks. The 100-percent point of the scale represents your optimum Healing Rate. Stability is experienced as a feeling of confidence, an ability to be in the world without being weakened by it. The zero-percent point of the Stability scale corresponds to a condition in which your body cannot resist even the slightest outside stress. The 100-percent point of the Stability scale represents the condition where the strength of your body is un-disturbed by any outside stress. Power is the scale that measures how much energy your body has, compared to how much energy your body needs to do what you want to do. One of the ways you experience Power is in the amount of heat there is in your body. Power also has meaning on the energetic, emotional, mental and spiritual levels. Power is zero when you are not generating or accessing any energy. The 100-percent point of the Power scale corresponds to the optimum level of energy that your body needs for its uses. Freedom measures your ability to change the way your body functions in response to your situation. For example, can you relax when it's time to sleep, and can you move into action when it's time to work? We experience the lack of Freedom as frustration, a feeling of being trapped and victimized by our circumstances. The zero-percent point of this scale is a total lack of Freedom. The highest point on the Freedom scale is 100 percent, representing the optimum level of Freedom required by your body in order to function at a given time and in a given situation. The highest experience of Freedom is the feeling that the circumstances in your life don't limit your activities or attitudes.

Philosophy

Holistic Kinesiology is a way of healing which considers the entire Self, including the physical, mental and spiritual aspects. Holistic Kinesiology evaluates health based on the responses of muscles. Holistic Kinesiology allows the client to set their healing agenda and to choose the best therapy that will produce the greatest amount of strengthening (healing) with the least amount of effort. Holistic Kinesiology formulates a picture of the health or strength of a person's Self on the physical, mental and spiritual levels using a language of weaknesses and strengths of meridians, chakras, organs and endocrine glands. The meridians, chakras, organs and endocrine glands exist on multiple levels: the physical, mental and spiritual levels. The meridians, chakras, organs and glands can be weak or strong on any or all of the several levels and can be weak or strong in any one or more functional ways: infection, metabolism, elimination, structure, assimilation, toxicity, blockage, thickness, deficiency and allergy. The various diagnostic dimensions can be combined to obtain detailed descriptive information for almost any condition of ill health. The body seems to want to communicate this rich and mostly unconscious information through the muscles.
